COOK:
The cook will prepare meals and follow establishment recipes and guidelines. Duties include preparing menu items, learning adhering to restaurant menu, and following state food health and safety procedures. Cook, clean, assist other cooks and staff, and perform in a fast-paced environment. Work may include operating a grill, oven, fryer, and large dough mixers. Previous experience in a team environment and various cooking methods preferred.

Cook Duties and Responsibilities

  • Setting up, cleaning, and organizing work stations according to posted guidelines.

  • Preparing ingredients for shift; washing vegetables, preparing sauces, etc.

  • Preparing cooking equipment and utensils for shift.

  • Use cooking procedures defined by health and safety standards.

  • Handling multiple food orders at one time.

  • Monitoring multiple food orders as new orders arrive.

  • Ensuring consistency for all food when serving.

  • Storing all food properly defined by health and safety standards.

  • Sanitizing and cleaning work stations and utensils defined by health and safety standards.

  • Correctly taking food and equipment inventory.

  • Assisting other cooks in preparing food or helping other team members when needed.

Cook Requirements and Qualifications

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.

  • Self-motivated and self-directed.

  • Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks.

  • Able to have a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

  • Previous experience as a cook or relevant work experience.

  • Legally able to work in establishments which serve alcohol.

  • Able to work early mornings, nights, and weekends.

  • Able to bend, move, and lift up to 25 pounds or more.

  • Physically able to stand and move during the length of shift; able to bend and kneel through shift; able to lift up to 25 pounds or more.

  • Has reliable transportation to Riverbend Eatery in all weather.

WEEKNIGHT BARTENDER:
The bartender will prepare cocktails, beer, wine, and follow establishment recipes and guidelines. Duties include preparing and serving Riverbend’s specialty cocktails, pouring draft beer, following opening, sidework, closing bar lists, learning the restaurant menu, and following state food health and safety procedures. Bartend, serve, assist other waitstaff, and perform in a fast-paced environment. Work may include wine table service, pouring draft beer, changing / tapping beer kegs, and cocktail mixing. Previous experience in a team environment and bartending knowledge preferred.

Bartender Duties and Responsibilities

  • Setting up, cleaning, and organizing the bar according to posted guidelines.

  • Preparing ingredients for shift; cutting cocktail garnish, updated posted specials signs, etc.

  • Ensuring consistency for all beer, cocktails, and wine.

  • Sanitizing and cleaning drink preparation areas.

  • Correctly taking liquor and equipment inventory.

  • Assisting other waitstaff in preparing food or helping other team members when needed.
